What to include

Reporting a bug in a tool. Tell us which page, which browser and which device, and what you did immediately before it went wrong. If a file failed to process, its type and rough size matters — most failures are format or memory related.

Reporting a wrong result from a calculator. Please include the exact inputs you used and the figure you expected. Nearly every report of this kind turns out to be either a genuine bug or a difference in assumptions we should have documented more clearly on the page. Both are worth fixing, and we cannot investigate either without the numbers.

Correcting something we wrote. Very welcome. If you can point to a source, that speeds things up considerably. We would rather be corrected than be wrong in public.

Suggesting a new tool. Tell us the actual task you are trying to do, not just the tool name. "I need to strip the metadata from twenty photos before sending them to an estate agent" tells us far more than "add an EXIF remover", and often means the answer is a change to an existing tool.

Things we cannot help with

Recovering a file. We do not have it. Tools run entirely in your browser and nothing is stored on our side — that is the whole design of the site. If you closed the tab before downloading a result, it is gone, and no one can retrieve it.

Deleting your data. There is nothing to delete. No accounts, no uploads, no database of users. See the privacy policy for what the third-party ad and analytics services collect, and the links there for opting out — those are handled by Google, not by us.

Financial or legal advice. The calculators are educational tools. We cannot advise on your mortgage, your investments or your tax position, and it would be irresponsible to try.

Advertising on this site is served through Google AdSense. We do not sell direct placements, sponsored posts, or links in existing articles, and we do not accept guest posts. Enquiries of that kind will not receive a reply.
