This policy explains what data meinove.com collects, what it does not collect, and what third parties on this site collect. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impenetrable.
The short version
We do not have accounts, we do not ask for your email, and we never receive the files you open in our tools. The only parties collecting anything about you here are Google's advertising and analytics services, described in detail below.
Files and data you enter into the tools
Every tool on this site processes data locally in your browser. Images, PDFs, text, JSON, financial figures — all of it is handled by JavaScript running on your device and held in the memory of that browser tab. None of it is transmitted to us. We operate no upload endpoint and store no user files.
When you close or refresh the tab, that data is gone. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
The single exception: the currency converter requests a table of exchange rates from a third-party public API (open.er-api.com). That request contains no information about you and none of the amounts you type — only a request for the current rate table, which is identical for every visitor.
What we store on your device
We set no tracking cookies of our own. Two tools use sessionStorage — the 2048 best score
— which stays in your browser, is never transmitted, and is deleted when you close the browser. Third
parties may set their own cookies, as described below.
Advertising — Google AdSense
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense to cover hosting and development costs.
- Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our sites and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website. We do not control what these vendors collect and we have no access to it. Their handling of your data is governed by Google's privacy and terms.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, in line with Google's consent requirements.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and where visitors arrive from. GA4 collects your IP address (anonymised), device and browser type, approximate geographic region, pages viewed and referring site. It does not receive any data you enter into the tools.
You can prevent this collection entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by using any standard content blocker.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard web server logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent — as every web server does. These are used for security and troubleshooting and are retained for a limited period.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data, we have nothing to export, correct or delete on request. For data held by Google as a result of advertising or analytics, use the Google links above, which are the only effective route.
Under the GDPR, our legal basis for the limited processing that does occur is legitimate interest for security logging, and consent for advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. We have no mechanism to collect personal data from anyone.
